Working...
March G.E.M. Award Recipient
Congratulations to Jared Brazzle March G.E.M. Award Recipient!
Having patience is a necessity when you work in education. It is even more
necessary when educators and technology staff are working together to roll-out
one-to-one technology. The technology team has gone above and beyond to help
teachers work out the glitches. Jared Brazzle has helped our building in so many
ways. He is patient, friendly and hard-working.
Many staff members appreciate Jared’s timely responses to our emails and
technology needs in the classroom. He is willing to help us no matter if it is a minor
or major need. Jared’s attention to detail when figuring out technology issues allows
us to focus on teaching instead of troubleshooting. Without him, this year would
have been much more stressful in working through some of the bugs with 1-1.
When technology doesn’t always work like we want it to, Jared saves the day.
He works to find solutions to the problems we encounter. He is persistent and
continues to check-in on the problem because he is determined to find a solution.
Jared can been seen on what seems to be a daily basis at West. When problems
reoccur or a solution is only temporary he always is kind, helpful and quick to
respond. We are appreciative of how positive and persistent Jared is when it comes
to working with us at West.
Jared continues to support teachers as we explore new ways of incorporating
technology into learning opportunities for students. He meets us where we are and
is genuine when he works to solve our technology problems and answer our
questions. He is patient and works with us to make sure things are how we envision
them to be, and he takes care of the technology piece when needed.
Jared was a key component when it came to a grade level Skype session with
a Civil Rights Veteran. He took care of the technology component-he came in early,
set up the technology and stayed the entire session to make sure things went
smoothly. The teachers were able to focus on the interview and student learning.
There was no stress if something happened with technology because Jared was
there. Jared took time out of his week to make sure that this learning opportunity
was successful.
One teacher shared, “My students and I are especially grateful to Jared
because without him we wouldn’t have been able to take advantage of using the
technology in our classroom to enhance learning. He has made all the difference.”
The teachers at West Elementary appreciate Jared Brazzle and the work that
he does for our district and the patience that he shows Jared goes the extra mile.
