The Wamego Regional Science and Engineering Fair was established in 1967. Our mission today is to enhance the knowledge and understanding of science through competition and scholarship. The fair provides a forum for young scientist to display their creative and critical thinking skills. Over 300 of the area's top students from 48 school districts gather annually to hypothesize, investigate, and present a variety of topics.
Students who participate in the Science Fair will:
Learn more about science and its important role in society;
Improve problem-solving skills;
Learn to do independent scientific research;
Be given public recognition for achievements;
Be encouraged to enter careers related to science and engineering;
Find out about scholarships, awards, and recognition for effort.
