The purpose of this site is to inform students,
parents, and the Wamego community of what is happening in the Wamego Band program. In addition to the schedule, you will find details of upcoming performances. There is a link to the Band's handbook so if there is a question about a policy or procedure, the handbook can be easily referenced. Look for sound files and concert programs in the future.

About the Wamego Band Program

The Wamego Band program consists of bands in each of the grades five through eight as well as the High School Marching Band, High School Concert Band, two High School Jazz Bands and a Middle School Jazz Band. The Wamego Band's history of excellence has included superior ratings at Concert Band festivals for many years and a superior ratings at Marching Band Festivals for the last three years--as long as we have been competing in marching band festivals. The Wamego High School Band has performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, the Marshall Field's Thanksgiving parade in Chicago, as well as a variety of concert band festivals throughout the years. We recently returned from a trip to Orlando in December 2006.
